My Gluten Free Diet – What I Eat

Hiya! So it’s Coeliac awareness week and so I thought I would make a video on the topic. I am coeliac and have been eating gluten free for 4 years now. If you think you might be coeliac then definitely go get a blood test taken! I feel so much better since my diagnosis. For more info check out Coeliac Society of Ireland here: http://www.coeliac.ie/

  1. My doctor tested me for coeliac disease through a blood test, it came back negative. However over the past 5 years or so I have suffered with recurring undiagnosable or treatable mouth ulcers (I get 3-7 at one time), I get recurring diarrhoea, stomach pains and constipation, I have traced it back to these foods pasta, bread & wraps, ice-cream, Chinese food, some cereals or breakfast drinks. After a lot of research I've decide to take up a gluten free diet to see if this helps. At the moments I am just researching alternative meals and products to cook with and eat. I'd like to know peoples thoughts, thanks.

  2. I'm gluten intolerant for over 2 years now. I had bloods done but came negative but I was already gluten free and my GP said that I would have to go back to gluten for over a week and then test again. Crazy. I was living in the West when I figured out that I'm gi 🙂 over half a year now dairy free also oat free, banana and potatoes. It's not easy and I could tell you where to eat out in Sligo, Galway and Dublin (IKEA is terrible! I won a doughnut last week 😀 😀 :D) please, more videos like that! xxx

  3. Hahaha Dave's comments in the background MADE this video. I'm gluten intolerant (never had the full tests etc and I'm out of the country blah blah blah).. but I try to stick to a GF diet most of the time. And if I ever indulge.. GOD HELP ME.

  4. Really enjoyed this!  I've been toying with the idea of going gluten free.  Just seems the healthier way, and I, too, am nosy and love drooling over other peoples food! :)
