I hate when people describe Celiac Disease as an allergy, my daughter and I have been gluten free for 9 yrs Celiac disease is very serious.People need to stop treating us like we are either on a fad diet or just have an allergy. I have 2 autoimmune diseases that are not taken seriously,we need more positivity instead of negativity.

  2. If gluten isn't the problem then why do doctors put people on restrictive diets to cut it out. I was diagnosed with IBS with a mainly gluten and lactose sensitivity, and as a result have been put on the low FODMAP diet. I need the gluten free foods/ suppliments to still get the nutrients.

  3. A total first world White people's self-fulfilling issue. Notice how minorites almost NEVER play the often imaginary "allergic to gluten" card to sound self-important and trendy, because, well, they simply cannot afford to!

  4. I'm happy that people want to get of gluten since now its easier and cheaper to get food for my child to be able to eat out and get things to eat like normal kids just without gluten she can not ray gluten due to her health and what it does to her

  5. i agree that the more foods we eat from mother earth the better off we will but, we also face problems when it comes to that. what about the chemicals being used and the modifications(GMO) to the "natural" products we eat. i believe no food is safe unless you growing it in your own backyard.

  6. Travis take a seat! Back the hell off. It's true that gluten won't affect everyone in the same way – hence the alarm bell for it because for some people it IS really effecting and potentially damaging!

  7. The USA plants have GMO process, so it has hurt your people. I'm Thai. In my country against the GMO in plants after you the USA came and used gmo with our local papaya, we'd known that we stopped it. So we still have non GMO product from plants for our people. We don't get hurt or allergic to Gluten. Vegans and vegetarian over Thailand can eat gluten normally in daily meal, by the Chinese intellect of extract protein from wheat (gluten) which has known for thousands years. It gives higher protein than animal meat.

  9. People with Celiac disease go on a gluten-free diet because if they eat gluten, then their body can't absorb nutrients properly and they get sick. What a lot of people don't realize, is just about ALL gluten-free foods aren't required by the FDA the enrich and fortify the foods with proper nutrients. Research "enrich and fortified gluten free foods." So when you're eating gluten free foods, they're just about totally lacking in key nutrients… so you end up becoming malnourished and might not know it. What happens after a while when your body is malnourished? You get diseases! So the thing you were trying to avoid in the first place takes place anyway! If you're eating gluten free foods, you HAVE TO find a way to get nutrients back in your diet. Again, the FDA does NOT require gluten-free products to be enriched and fortified! Doctor Travis, whatever his name is, kind of acts all high-and-mighty… but for heaven's sake, remember, he's a doctor, not a nutritionist, right? Do you know that when doctor's are in med-school, they never take a class on nutrition? At least I believe that's true. Another important thing to know is, grains are not good for anyone. They contain folic acid. Folic acid prevents your body from absorbing nutrients. Not properly absorbing nutrients is what causes Celiac suffers to get sick! There are some grains that don't have folic acid, like Ezekial bread. I may not have spelled that correctly. Food is medicine. Stop eating sugar. Eat fruits and vegetables, organic if you can, or grow it yourself. And meat is okay to eat, but preferably meat that isn't contaminated with hormones, anti-biotics, and other toxins. Travis is right what he said at the end. Eat natural food from the earth in it's natural state. The government doesn't care if you get sick. Don't blindly buy food off the shelf. Recap: No sugar, or limit intake. Honey and fruit sugars are fine. Limit grains. Buy organic or veggies or grow your own. Eat natural meat, preferably grass-fed. I love steak, and you can too! PS. cutting sugar out of my diet and eating lots of fruits, veggies, and steak the past 2 weeks I've lost 15 pounds! I look younger, too 🙂 Take care ya'll!

  11. I cant have gluten at all andI have to take a lactaid pill to help with what little milk comsume! It very hard but I have no choice it was killing m!!!! And i had C. diff and that about killed me literally I was going to die!!!!

  12. How dare someone sells supplements on their website!!!! Coming from a doctor who has his own talk show and writes prescriptions seems kind of ass backwards though. This guy is a tool. Wheat is ruining the health of so many people in the US. I've tried organic sourdough recently and had such bad sinus and head issues I had to stop. Doesn't work for me.

  13. Great points. I have Celiac Disease and I love having a great choice of gluten free snacks, but I think that most people don't need to be gluten free. On the other hand I think that most of the supplements are a rip off. I think that anytime you watch what you eat you feel better. Always remember Correlation is not causation, just like sugar is something people are afraid to eat. I don't think sugar itself is bad but the amount of it in our diets is scary. The hidden sugars and high fructose corn syrups in our food are really scary.

  14. God these people clap after everything pro-gluten said on the stage… Yes, sometimes the gluten-free fad is annoying, and yet people are godamn ADDICTED to gluten. God forbid we think about not eating wheat for breakfast lunch and dinner! … Jesus Christ, some people will just cling to any rationalization for not having to give up wheat products or being 'inconvenienced' by a gluten-free diet… when there's lots of PROOF and EVIDENCE that going gluten-free for non-celiac people helps them with health problems…
